JYJ are my favorite Kpop group. The name comes from the first letter of the members names: Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu.
Prior to their debut as JYJ, they were member of THE most popular group in asia, Dong Bang Shin/DBSK/TVXQ.

The while story of the origin of JYJ is too much for me to recall and write about it, but in a brief summary of it goes like this:

After realizing they were being “slaved” by their money-hungry management/owners SM entertainment, they filled lawsuit to nullify their 13+ year contract, which was not only ILLEGAL but was pretty much AWFUL ON MONEY DISTRIBUTION.

So SME knew DBSK was their CASHCOW, so they didn’t want to let then go. But they left anyway and signed with a new management company, C-Jes, and have been promoting themself as JYJ.

But promoting is an exaggeration because SME had to be butthurt at seeing JYJ succeed on their own, so they has “their” goons a.ka KBS, KFCAI, Korean Producers Ass. banned them from appearing in music shows and variety shows. Since 2009, JYJ have released English album, Korean album and tour Asia, North America, Europe by themselves.

But it didnt stop there, JYJ have had tremendous success in their individual activates.

Junsu has become a legend-in-the-making as a musical actor and had participated in musicals Mozart, Tears in Heaven and had ben just cast as Death in Elisabeth. Yoochun has become a leading man by acting in kdrama S. Scandal and a blue-chip star in CFs. Jaejoong was the first to have an individual activate even before the spilt by acting in a JAPANESE drama and recently acted in korean rom-com Protect The Boss.

So as you can see, I LOVE JYJ….AND THERE IS NOTHING THAT WILL STOP THEM!!!
